We are looking forward to the opportunity to play music together in person at our Play Down Celebration on Saturday, May 8 beginning at 11:00 a.m. The event will be held outdoors on the front lawn of Mountain View United Methodist Church, where we traditionally meet for Group classes.
Students and family members are required to wear masks and socially distance for this performance. To accommodate social distancing, we are limiting the number of students for each performance to 25. Each performance will start on the hour and be 30 minutes in length.
Family members are welcome to watch the performance masked and socially distanced in the parking lot. To allow space for viewing the concert, please park on the far west side of the Mountain View parking lot or along the street.
For those who are new to our program, a Play Down is a performance where we play a variety of Suzuki pieces from books 1-4. Students join in to perform all the songs they know and sit and listen with others to the songs they have yet to learn.
The deadline to sign up for this event is Saturday, May 1. Please ask your private teacher for the link to the sign-up and review sheet. Participants will receive an email on May 2 letting them know their assigned timeslot for performing.
