Upon moving to Colorado in 2000, Kyra’s three daughters began taking lessons from BSS teachers. Shortly after that, Kyra began accompanying for recitals and group classes. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Kansas and a Master of Music in Piano Accompanying from the University of Southern California. After many years of piano teaching and accompanying work, Kyra returned to college for a Master of Professional Accountancy degree from Metro State University in Denver and obtained her CPA certification. She spent 10 years as an auditor with EKS&H and Plante Moran in Boulder, while still accompanying for BSS. Kyra has recently retired from her position as an audit manager and moved into the role of Financial Administrator for BSS. She is also involved with raising guide dog puppies and enjoys reading, cooking, running, and travelling to see her grown daughters.
