Since 1982, we have offered violin, viola, and cello lessons to students ages 3* to 18, using the Suzuki Method. We have grown into a program of over 200 students and 14 highly-skilled, committed faculty who are dedicated to fostering Suzuki’s vision that “every child can.”
Students begin their musical education with individual and group lessons. Through solo recitals, group concerts and workshops, students develop as musicians and performers within a supportive learning environment and community.
Boulder Suzuki Strings welcomes all students and families and does not discriminate on the basis of disability, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, or marital status.
*For ages birth through 3, we recommend Prelude Suzuki Early Childhood Education.
Boulder Suzuki Strings students meet weekly with their private teacher to develop a strong foundation of technique by progressing through the Suzuki method books and supplemental repertoire in a nurturing environment tailored to the student’s individual needs.
All Boulder Suzuki Strings students participate in twice-monthly group classes which help develop ensemble skills, reinforce technique, provide performance opportunities, create a community of support, and offer a fun learning environment. Boulder Suzuki Strings offers group classes that focus on Suzuki repertoire as well as a variety of enrichment classes such as beginning orchestra, chamber music, fiddle, advanced repertoire and touring ensemble.
