Stacey Brady

Violin, Prelude

Having taught Suzuki violin for almost 20 years, Stacey Brady maintains an active studio of 35 students with Boulder Suzuki Strings under the Direction of Amy Gesmer-Packman. Stacey completed her Suzuki training with William Starr while obtaining her BA in Music and Elementary Education Certification from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Later, she received her Master of Music degree in Violin Performance and Pedagogy with Dr. Starr, and then went on to do post-graduate work at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Stacey is also a professional player and performs throughout the Denver Metro area on both modern and baroque instruments. She is one of the founding members of the Baroque Chamber Orchestra of Colorado (an ensemble using period instruments) and plays with other groups such as the Sphere Ensemble, the Lyric Ensemble and the Colorado Music Festival. During the summers, Stacey enjoys teaching at Institutes and has been a regular faculty member at the Intermountain Suzuki Strings Institute in Utah and the Peaks to Plains Suzuki Institute in Colorado. Stacey is currently living in Broomfield, CO with her very supportive husband Sean and their three wonderful children, Maggie, Erich and Juliana. In her spare time, she enjoys running marathons.
